Alone........

Things forever gone!
Memories forlorn!

Nightmares that haunt,
Fears, they daunt.
The only sounds, they mock,
-the Clock's ticktock.

Silence! It kills.
A void, a space, unfilled.

Wishes on a star,
Hope, seems distant, far.

Aloof from the world,
A world, so cold.

A lifetime of pretence
A journey that never ends.

I never meant to feel this way,
Sad, empty , it's hard to say.
ALONE!

This is SO lovely. But I don't want my little girl to be alone. Take refuge in the fact that you can write and express the way you feel. Feel comfort in the fact that many can't express in such beautiful words how terrible being alone can be.

Love you, lovely little girl.

the poem drips of loneliness.. sends melancholic vibes all over.. touched me to the core.. as if somewhere deep inside this verse were created by me.. suspended in nothing ness.. just beautiful!

I feel, your poems look really superb when you pen something down about what you really experience. This is one such masterpiece. Excellent wordings and cute poem. Loved it!
