Survivor..............

I travelled alone on my way,
with unfulfilled dreams on the bay.
My past was murky, my days calm and quiet,
but at nights fears break loose, the nightmares horrible, quite!

And then one day,
one magic day you passed my way.
"Destined were we to meet!",
so you said and thus I believed.

You poured yourself into me,
Closed was my heart and your words, the Key.
Why did you choose me to charm?
Oh! Was I such a jerk and a fool! Darn!

I gave you everything I had,
'cause you said, "About you, I'm mad".
So everthing seemed to glow with sheen,
Castles in the air, I was the queen.

Then you broke my heart, traded my place,
and gave me insights, made my love, a disgrace.
Those nightmares are back! The magic spell broken!
I wish I could forget, those words spoken.

All your words were nothing but lies,
but this is the hard truth, accepting which my heart denies.
But now, I'm in a delusion.
Everthing you were, was just an illusion.

You could've helped me, or said a word,
Instead of memories like the sharpest sword.
I could've cursed you to rot in hell!
But its not in me. Why? I couldn't tell.

This is both a beginning and the very end.
For now I realise, for myself, I must fend.
My life could be a mess, my heart, in a fervor.
But I'll stay, I'll live, 'cause I am a SURVIVOR!
